Special Interest Group in Child and Adolescent Psychology
Background and Aims
The Special Interest Group in Child and Adolescent Psychology was
reformed following a meeting at the PSI Conference in Ennis in 1997,
and the inaugural meeting was held in March 1998. Since 1998, the
group has run a very successful annual lecture series, as well as
a half day conference in conjunction with the group's AGM.
The aims of the group include:
To develop an awareness of child and adolescent issues within the
psychology profession.
To promote child-centred practice research.
To share experience, knowledge, resources and expertise and to develop
a support network.
To use our knowledge to inform the public, policy makers and legislators
of the needs of children and adolescents.
Membership
Membership of the Special Interest Group is open to all. We ask for
a contribution of €20 (€10 for students). Membership entitles you
to free attendance at our monthly lectures and reduced rate registration
