An Overview of PSIWhat is The Psychological Society of Ireland?PSI is the learned and professional body for the profession in Ireland, with the primary object of advancing psychology as a pure and applied science in Ireland and elsewhere. The Society has grown significantly since its inception and now has over 2000 members. What do we do?PSI strives to promote quality psychological practice and foster learning and growth, by setting high standards of professional education and conduct. Psychology is not regulated by statute in Ireland, and in 1988 the Society initiated its own non-statutory Register to promote high standards of behaviour, competence and practice within the profession.
